Haute de Laissez-faire Collection
“The art of doing nothing” isn’t literally about doing nothing— but rather about processing complex layering and experiences that define who we are. When we chart our paths through lessons that are out of our control, we have a choice. We can allow these experiences to keep us down or leverage them as an opportunity to transform their impact on us into something beautiful.
I began painting to channel the emotional turbulence of graduate school in 2019/2020 and found solace in the depth, nuance, and meaning of my artwork. For the past five years, I have continually returned to this practice to help process the twists and turns of life.
I have grown to appreciate the benefits of adapting to the changing tides around us— and this collection embodies the resilience it takes to ride the waves without fully surrendering to the current.
